CUSTOMER NEED
After the successful launch of the Kitchen Planner, DMG wanted to make a similar extension to support sales of its bathroom division of its Brugman retail brand. The leading kitchens, bathrooms and furniture company is aiming for a similar approach as the Kitchen Planner: let consumers design their own bathroom at home and have them transfer this design to a shop and finish the design in-store.

INDG APPROACH
Based on the existing solution, INDG created the Bathroom Planner for Brugman. As the initial planner is based on the Realtime 3D Module of INDG’s Digital Engagement Suite, the underlying platform can roughly stay the same. The main changes involved a user interface design that would better meet the needs of a consumer who is interested in designing a bathroom. Another aspect that needed additional work was the creation of 3D assets: digital versions of bathroom furniture, plumbing, faucets, etc.
RESULTS
Similar to the Kitchen Planner, the tool offers benefits across multiple stages of the shopping journey. It activates and inspires users by offering a playful way to design a consumer’s perfect bathroom. It has proven to immerse customers and dramatically extends the time consumers spend on the Brugman website. It tracks consumer preferences and captures leads for sales staff to follow up. And ultimately, it offers in-store sales reps a tool to capture a consumer’s desires and saves time as more consumers enter the store with a list of preferences generated by the online planner tool.
